About the job

We're working with an up and coming healthcare AI that is based in Antwerp seeking an experienced Data Architect to build high-performing data architecture solutions. You will play a key role in shaping their enterprise data strategy, enabling analytics, AI initiatives, and business intelligence across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise-wide data architecture and data models
• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models
• Architect scalable data warehouses and data lakes (e.g., Snowflake, Amazon Redshift)
• Implement cloud-based data solutions on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Lead data integration initiatives using ETL/ELT tools
• Ensure data governance, data quality, metadata management, and regulatory compliance
• Optimize performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of data platforms
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and business stakeholders
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring

Your Profile

• 5+ years’ experience in data architecture or senior data engineering
• Strong expertise in SQL and database design (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle Database)
• Experience with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark or Apache Hadoop
• Hands-on experience with data modeling tools and methodologies
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and regulatory compliance
• Experience designing real-time data pipelines (e.g., Apache Kafka)
• Knowledge of Python, Java, or similar programming languages
• Experience implementing modern data architectures (Data Mesh / Data Fabric)
• Experience supporting AI/ML data platforms
• TOGAF or cloud architecture certification
